In this job, you will translate product requirements from our Customers into product design for specific or general application. Leading project teams with all internal functions that are needed to meet Customer requirements. This function will be part of our Engineering Organization and will be working in close cooperation with our (OEM) Sales people. The work location will be mainly the Netherlands, Mill but frequent travel will be expected (depending on projects). Travelling will be mainly done in Europe and to develop projects together with (English speaking Engineers of) our mother Company in India, a few times per year to India.

The performance of technical investigation to determine the feasibility of development for new product types and to realise applications of products to support Sales activities. In summary:
• Propose feasibility studies into new product/market combinations;
• Review and clarify project technical requirements;
• Set up and development of a technical concept to comply with the project technical requirements;
• Prepare investment proposals if required to support the project technical proposal;
• Make constructive and thermal calculations and concept drawings o.a. for proposals, classification, guidance of Product Constructors etc. (e.g. OEM-requirements, approval authorities);
• Set up and lead internal discussions regarding the technical aspects of the project.
• Lead external discussions for NRF with regard to the technical aspects of the project.
• Functional lead in technical development projects from agreement of the technical requirements up to and including acceptance of the results by the customer (internal of external to NRF) for series production.
• Provide technical support to internal departments/colleagues regarding product applications;
• Trouble shooting in case of problems with the performance of product applications;
• Development, maintenance and support of engineering methods.
• Participation in improvement teams regarding the LEAN improvement of  NRF.

Requirements
• Basic proficiency in project management;
• Cooling products and production processes and their (im)possibilities;
• Mechanical engineering, cost/commercial, thermal and electrotechnical aspects to Bachelors degree level or higher;
• 3D modelling, conceptual design and drafting in Siemens NX6 or higher;
• Manual stress analysis;
• Numerical analysis (FEM stress and CFD) in Ansys, Nastran or similar;
• Heat transfer calculation such as the NTU method, Kuli or similar;
• German and English;
• Leadership skills
