Compressors
Compressors
The compressor puts the evaporated coolant under pressure. Only gas is compressed and not the liquid. The compressor is connected to the engine of the car or truck via a drive shaft and belt. Coupling and decoupling is done via an electromagnetic clutch. In more modern vehicles, there is often a version without clutch, in which the compressor runs continuously, with a variable stroke volume.
Various types of compressor
NRF offers a wide choice of different types of compressor, with a fixed or variable stroke volume. From a piston compressor (up to 10 cylinders) to a compressor with rotating vanes or a helical compressor.
