In this job, you will take a central role in the management of projects in various markets, reporting directly to the Managing Director of the Group. The Engineering team that supports the various businesses exists out of 8 persons and will also report directly to the Thermal Engineering Manager. You will be located in Mill, the Netherlands and travelling will be part of the role.

Together with your team, you will translate product requirements from our Customers into product design for specific or general application. The work location will be the Netherlands, Mill but depending on the projects, travelling will be part of this job (mainly Europe). The lead time of the projects varies from several weeks to several months.

In summary:

• Integrate the Sales plans in a product plan
• Propose feasibility studies into new product/market combinations;
• Review and clarify project technical requirements;
• Set up and development of a technical concept to comply with the project technical requirements;
• Prepare investment proposals if required to support the project technical proposal;
• Make constructive and thermal calculations and concept drawings o.a. for proposals, classification, guidance of Product Constructors etc. (e.g. OEM-requirements, approval authorities);
• Set up and lead internal discussions regarding the technical aspects of the project.
• Lead external discussions for NRF with regard to the technical aspects of the project.
• Functional lead in technical development projects from agreement of the technical requirements up to and including acceptance of the results by the customer (internal of external to NRF) for series production.
• Provide technical support to internal departments/colleagues regarding product applications;
• Trouble shooting in case of problems with the performance of product applications;
• Development, maintenance and support of engineering methods.

Requirements:

• Leadership skills
• Mechanical engineering, cost/commercial, thermal and electrotechnical aspects to Bachelors degree level or higher;
• Experience within Engineering Environment preferably in design of parts
• Commercial/technical experience
• Willing to travel (10-25%)
• Basic proficiency in project management;
• Cooling products and production processes and their (im)possibilities;
• 3D modelling, conceptual design and drafting in Siemens NX6 or higher;
• Manual stress analysis;
• German and English;
