Marine

In 1959 NRF invented the boxcooler, when they were asked to find a simple solution in order to keep the engines of river boats, which were cooled with surface water, free of fouling. Due to the success of this product, more and more vessels changed over to this type of cooling. Today, NRF is market leader in this field and beside the box cooler, NRF supplies shell and tube coolers, plate heat exchangers, and fin/fan coolers all over the world. NRF is your partner of the total cooling solution.

Marine products

Box coolers

The box cooler, invented by NRF in 1959, is simple, environmentally-friendly device, which requires little maintenance. It cools better than other makes under all conditions and gives years of problem-free performance.

Fin/Fan coolers

NRF specializes in the design and production of coolers for stationary marine applications. NRF is offering a broad variety of copper and aluminium cooling systems for water-, oil- and air cooling.

Plate heat exchanger

The NRF Plate Heat exchanger has today become a standard component in the cooling system of many marine application designs. Our plate heat exchangers are characterized by high quality, low costs and a comprehensive plate program, which means that we can deliver the optimal solution to any thermal task.

Shell and tube coolers

The successful concept of the box cooler is also reflected in our wide range of shell and tube heat exchangers for water-water and/or oil cooling. Within this you have a choice of various diameters and a selection of materials, lengths and internal detail.

Box cooler parts

From now on NRF is also the place to get box cooler parts. Besides the complete coolers, NRF supplies a wide range of gaskets, drain plugs, bolt, nuts and mounting kits. The parts are produced custom-made and within 24 hours.
