NRF enters the aftermarket Turbo business by acquiring the Alanko brand, well known for its wide range of new and remanufactured turbo’s, supplied to the European aftermarket.
The Turbo aftermarket is showing steep growth, following increasing installation ratio’s due to engine downsizing. Entering the turbo segment with a brand renown for its quality enables NRF to offer it’s customers a solid solution to cater for the increasing demand.
Per May this year Alanko products will be routed into the market via NRF’s supply chain, enabling NRF to supply a vast range of Turbo’s offering the highest coverage in the market straight away.
Having opened the German Turbo aftermarket by securing the right to supply matching quality, Alanko gained high brand recognition in Germany, the largest turbo aftermarket in Europe. Being the benchmark for cataloguing, service and training, is a great start for developing the rest of Europe.
The Alanko management, Ghalib Alah-Rachi, Basil Alah Rachi and Talha Alah Rachi, takes on various managerial positions at NRF, securing a successful transition. At NRF the asset deal has been sealed by Hadia Gouider, giving Jeroen Velthuis a head start in his assignment to introduce NRF into the turbo business.
‘With this acquisition, we bring the Alanko technical knowhow and credibility inhouse. Furthermore, we are exited to add one of the fastest growing aftermarket product ranges to our portfolio”, comments Frank Toebes, Managing Director of NRF.
Ghalib Alah-Rachi, Alanko General Manager, added, “we are proud to have teamed up with a large supplier like NRF. Their size, funding and customer base will fuel our growth in the European Turbo aftermarket and enables us to leverage the range we built.’’
