NRF is ready for the future! NRF offers the largest and fastest growing aftermarket cooling range for hybrid (HEV or PHEV) and electric vehicles (EV). To ensure that this development is professionally managed, NRF has set up a dedicated EV development team, led by Benjamin Meek.
Benjamin Meek joined NRF in July 2022 to support the development of NRF’s fast-growing sensor product lines. Due to the rapidly growing EV portfolio and current position as a leading EV aftermarket parts supplier, NRF has asked Benjamin to start as Director E-mobility. Benjamin is based in Belgium. He has a long track record in the automotive industry, both in OEM and aftermarket business, and in various roles from engineering to marketing.
In the new role of Director E-Mobility, Benjamin Meek will be responsible for driving all E-mobility activities within the NRF aftermarket division. This will include research and development, product development and marketing.
Benjamin Meek: “It is an honor to be asked to lead the E-Mobility development and ensure NRF can become the preferred partner for (H)EV vehicles in the aftermarket cooling business and beyond. I am confident that this will bring great opportunities for NRF and our customers & partners and look forward to working with the team to realize our goals.”
Not all aftermarket parts are the same. Two components that look identical in the box can perform very differently on the road. One might last for years without issues. The other might fail within months, creating a comeback for the workshop and frustration for the customer.
The difference usually comes down to how the product was designed, tested and manufactured. Price and branding play a role in perception, but they are not reliable indicators of actual quality. This article explains the main factors that truly determine aftermarket part quality, and how professionals can use that knowledge to make better sourcing decisions.
Reliability is not always visible from the outside. A car part may look perfectly fine in the box, with clean packaging and a professional finish, but still fail within months of installation. Equally, a component with less flashy presentation might deliver years of trouble-free performance.
True reliability usually comes from what happened before the part reached the shelf: the engineering behind it, the materials chosen, the testing it went through and the consistency of the manufacturing process. But as a workshop manager, buyer or mechanic, you do not always have access to those details. So how can you tell whether a part is likely to be reliable before you install it?
This article covers the practical signs to look for, and the red flags to watch out for.
We would like to inform you of a strategic adjustment to our Copper Brass cores manufacturing operations. As part of our ongoing strategy to strengthen and optimize our operations, we are planning to move the Copper Brass core production from our Mill facility in the Netherlands to our Spanish factory in Granada during Quarter 4 2025.
Aluminium and copper cores can both undergo comprehensive maintenance, extending their lifespan significantly. NRF offers complete maintenance and repair services for aluminium and copper brass radiators, allowing these cores to be rejuvenated and remain functional for longer periods. This includes fixing leaks, adjusting structures, and providing a one-year warranty that underscores the durability and ease of maintenance of aluminium radiator cores. An additional benefit of our maintenance services is their contribution to environmental sustainability.
