NRF offers various types of compressor oil. One of the most common mistakes made during installation and servicing of a compressor is using the wrong compressor oil. To identify the correct oil type and the amount required you can check NRF’s R134a/R1234yf Air Conditioning Filling Chart, which can be found at the NRF website.
NRF offers various types of compressor oil, like PAG 64 and POE 100. It also includes compressor
oil for the new R1234YF refrigerant and POE oils for hybrid/electrical applications.
The function of compressor oil
Compressor oil lubricates and cools the moving parts of the compressor and forms a film between the cylinder and pistons. The oil should therefore have the correct lubrication performance, viscosity and miscibility with refrigerant.
